Welcome to Missouri!

"The Show Me State"

Fort Leonard Wood is surrounded by friendly communities that actively reach out
to military members and their families.  Four thriving cities lie along the
Interstate-44 technology corridor.  They include Lebanon in Laclede County,
Waynesville and St. Robert in Pulaski County, and Rolla in Phelps County.
Lebanon is a national leader in the manufacture of recreational watercraft.
Waynesville and St. Robert are nearest to the primary gates of Fort Leonard Wood
and are in the third-fastest growing county in the state.  Rolla is home to the
Missouri University of Science and Technology MS&T, a nationally-ranked
engineering and research campus.  Further to the north are the picturesque
towns of Crocker, Dixon and Richland.  To the south of Fort Leonard Wood is
Texas County.  It is the home of cattle ranches, small farms and a growing number
of mini-ranches and retirement homes.

The Fort Leonard Wood Region has much to offer: low cost of living; great quality
of life; beautiful rivers, forests and fields; extensive education and training
opportunities; challenging career opportunities; and extraordinary opportunities
for entrepreneurs and high technology companies.
